During the 2013 regular season, the Aledo Bearcats have scored 682 points breaking Refugio’s record by 28 points. Currently, the Bearcats are 11-0 in the season and ranked #5 in the state.
Past all-time scoring records are Waco in 1921 with 567 points, Poth in 1968 with 580 points, Munday in 2012 with 584 points, Lone Oak in 2000 with 586 points, Big Sandy in 1973 with 597 points, Corsicana-Mildred in 2012 with 599 points, Hale Center in 1954 with 600 points, Houston North Forest in 1954 with 609 points, Big Sandy in 1975 with 638 points, Refugio in 2012 with 641 points and Refugio in 2011 with 654 points.
Aledo’s highest scoring game was against Western Hills with a 91-0 victory on October 18th. With their lowest scoring game 44-3 against Highland Park, it’s no surprise that Aledo broke the all-time scoring record.
With their last win against Burleson on November 15th, Aledo will continue through playoffs with their next game on November 22nd against Boswell at Birdville ISD Complex. Good Luck Bearcats with your journey through playoffs!
