Updated: January 16, 2014
The Bastrop Cedar Creek Eagles have hired Keith Woolf to be their new head coach. Coach Woolf did an outstanding job at turning around the program at Anson and will look to do the same with the Eagles.
Woolf took over at Anson program in 2012. Before he arrived, the Tigers went 0-10 in 2011 and their last winning season was 2006. His Tiger teams went 20-4 during his 2 seasons with them going 10-2 in each season. This was his first head coaching position. He had also coached as an assistant at Frisco Heritage, Corpus Christi Calallen and Brownwood.
Coach Woolf replaces Dan Hernandez who has been the only coach for the Eagles since they began varsity play in 2012. During their 2 season, they have had back to back 1-9 seasons, going 0-14 mark in district. Before taking over the Eagles, Coach Hernandez was the defensive coordinator at Austin Del Valle and an assistant at Bastrop and Austin Del Valle before that.
