Dripping Springs Hires Joe McBride Away From Coppell

The Dripping Springs Tigers have hired Joe McBride to be their next head coach. He replaces Bob Schultz who resigned after leading the Tigers for the past 7 years to an overall record of 33-42.
Coach McBride comes from 5A Coppell where his Cowboys went 50-10 over 5 seasons. His teams went to the playoffs 4 times and captured 3 district championships. He was also a head coach at 4A Frisco Liberty in 2008 where he started the program and went 5-5 in their first season of varsity play. McBride coached for 8 years as an assistant at Lewisville Hebron. He was the defensive coordinator when Hebron won the Class 2005 Division II state championship.
Coach Schultz resigns after being with the Tigers since 2007. He cames to the Tigers after spending four seasons as an assistant coach at the University of Tulsa.
