The Hamilton Bulldogs have hired Throckmorton's Mike Reed to take over as Head Coach. This will be his first attempt at 11 man football after coaching at the 6 man level for 12 seasons. The Bulldogs former Head Coach David Wright resigned after leading the Bulldogs for 6 seasons to a 28-37 record.
Coach Reed is One of the states most successful 6 man coaches. He led Throckmorton to 3 consecutive 6-Man Division I title games from 2010-2012. He also was a Head Coach at Rule from 2002-2007 where he led them to 2 championship games. He has an overall 6 Man coaching record of 132-19 with 5 championship game appearances. He even played 6 Man football in high school at Gordon. He did coach a hybrid game last year against Windthorst where they played half the game under 6 Man rules and half the game under 11 Man rules.
