Houston Coaches (GHFCA) to hold spring clinic

2014 GHFCA Spring Clinic and Legends Panel- February 1st

The Greater Houston Football Coaches Association (GHFCA) will be hosting both a Spring Clinic and Legends Panel at the Katy Merrell Center following the Regional Meeting February 1, 2014.

There will be a speaker addressing both Offense and Defense

1:00-­‐1:50 UH head coach Tony Levine will cover defense in his presentation, “University of Houston Defense”

2:00-­‐2:50 Spring Westfield head coach Corby Meekins will focus on offense in his talk, "Westfield Outside Zone”

3:00-­‐3:50 The Legends Panel will consist of the following legendary retired coaches:

Marty Criswell: Longtime HFC at Denison and Bryan High School; THSCA Past President; Hall of Honor Inductee; Won a state title

Mike Johnson: Longtime HFC at Katy High School; THSCA Past President; Hall of Honor Inductee; Won three state titles

Bill Smith: Longtime HFC at Aldine High School; Crowned High School National Champs at Aldine; Won a state title

Lynn Etheredge: Longtime HFC at Luling and Tomball High School; THSCA Past President; Hall of Honor Inductee; Played for the great Orville Etheredge (Father) at La Marque who the stadium is also named after

Ron Lynch: HFC at Deer Park, Alvin and Spring Westfield

The cost is $10, which pays for registration and a box lunch, and is open to all football coaches at any level.
