Galena Park North Shore’s David Aymond Gets Promotion

David Aymond leaves the sidelines to become the Galena Park ISD’s boys athletic director. He has been the Mustangs head coach since 1994.
North Shore did not make the playoffs in the 31 years before his arrival. Since he arrived, they have made a habit of winning, having won 13 district titles and reaching the semifinals twice. The Mustangs won a state championship in 2003, beating The Woodlands for the Class 5A Division I title. They also had a 78 game regular season winning streak and 8 straight unbeaten regular season from 2001-2008.
Coach Aymond finishes his coaching career with an all-time record of 229-59-0 including a 205-43-0 record with the Mustangs.
