-
Updated: March 18, 2014
The Frisco Liberty Red Hawks have hired their 3rd head coach in their short 6 year history. They recently hired Chris Burch from Seminole after Galen Zimmerman left to take over an offensive coordinator position.
Zimmerman left Frisco Liberty to become the offensive coordinator at Dripping Springs. He had led the Red Hawks to a 30-27 record over the past 5 seasons. Coach Zimmerman was also an assistant at Lewisville-Hebron before taking over the Red Hawks. He goes to Dripping Springs where Joe McBride was recently hired as the head coach. McBride was the head coach with the Red Hawks during their first season in 2008 while Zimmerman was one of his assistant coaches. They were also both assistant coaches together at Hebron.
Burch comes to Liberty from Seminole where he led the Indians to a 63-52 record during his 10 years there.
