The Cypress Fairbanks Bobcats are showing off their great defense to start off the 2014 season. Through 2 games, the Bobcats have posted back to back shutouts.
Fairbanks defense was the main reason for their run to the Quarterfinals last year. During their 4 playoff games, they only gave up 41 points. For the entire 2013 season, they only gave up 176 points through 14 games.
The Bobcats opened up the season with a big 9-0 win over The Woodlands who are currently ranked #21 in the state. The same Woodlands team that beat #2 Katy in week 3. Then in week 3, the Bobcats beat Cypress Creek 27-0. Looking at the stats, the defense has only allowed 371 total yards. They have given up 206 yards rushing on 55 carries which is only 3.75 yards per carry. They are even better on pass defense having given up 165 yards.
