The Longview Lobos are sitting at 0-2 on the season after losses to East Texas powers Lufkin and Tyler John Tyler. Sure, both Lufkin and Tyler John Tyler are Top 10 teams but Longview was our #1 Pre-Season team so an 0-2 record to open the season is a little surprising.
The Lobos have 1 more tough one in front of them before they enter district play. They go up against Neville - Monroe, LA next week at Independence Stadium. To get things turned around, they will have to shore up the defense which has given up 85 points in their 2 games.
Before this game aginst Tyler John Tyler, Longview was 10-2 in the last 12 games against them. The Lobos still lead this series 44-37-7 all-time.
