Mike Says: It has been a long time since either of these schools have won a state championship so it is good to see them both here. Albany's last championship was 1961 while Bremond's last championship was in 1981. Bremond holds the edge in stats. They score more per game and give up less per game. Their QB Roshaund Paul has rushed for 1,470 yards on the season. He leads Tigers who as a team rushes for 319.6 yards per game. That Tiger defense is led by Mason Pruitt (170 tackles), Jarvis Jones (130 tackles 22 TFL) and Hamilton Hull (133 tackles 21 TFL). The big question mark is can Paul play this week. He went down with an injury during last weeks game. Given that, I am going to stay with our pre-season prediction. The LIONS win it 27-21!!
Chris Says: The Bremond Tigers have shown me a lot during their playoff run, but I have Albany ahead of them in my poll. Albany just keeps taking care of business. Their 49-35 win over Hamlin was expected but still impressive. That is the thing about this Albany team, I expect them to be the #1 team and they play like it - no surprises. Yes, Bremond is scoring more by 100 points, but I can't go against our #1 team until someone knocks them off. The LIONS take the title 32-30!!
