Hendrickson’s Samaje Perine Named Freshman Offensive Player of the Year

SCOUT has released their Freshman All-Americans and former Pflugerville running back, Samaje Perine (Oklahoma) has not only made the First Team, but has been named the Offensive Player of the Year we well.
Offensive Player of the Year: Samaje Perine, RB, Oklahoma
The true freshman from Pflugerville Hendrickson, had a freshman season for the ages, including a record-setting day against Kansas, where he set an FBS record with 427 rushing yards and scored five touchdowns. Perine finished the regular season with 1,579 yards and 21 touchdowns. He was also named Big 12 Offensive Freshman of the Year.
