Social Media: Katy Whups Manvel 40-25

Both Katy (70 ppg) and Manvel (61 ppg) have been scoring well in the playoffs so we wanted to know what the people think about their matchup. To find out, @LSGridiron tweeted:

The idea is RETWEET (RT) if you thought the total score would be over and click FAVORITE (FAV) if you felt the two teams would combine for less points. The overwhelming feedback says the UNDER for sure. 97.3% feel the total score will be under 110 points. In fact, @JAIMEJASODJ put it well when he DMed, "100 plus points (over/under) this deep in the playoffs would have been eliminated by now! I don't see both teams givin up 50+" It is true that there will be some teams give up 50 points, but it is very unlikely that both teams in a game will from this point forward.

Next, we asked everyone for their prediction on the score and again we got a consensus. Over 89% of the fans say that Katy is going to win the game We took all the score predictions and averaged them - here is what the Internet thinks will be the final score:

Chris Says: Katy is clearly a stronger team. Don't get me wrong, I witnessed Manvel's impressive 63-47 win over Cy-Woods last week and they were better than I expected. The problem for the Mavericks came down to mistakes. They made quite a few but overcame them because Cy-Woods despite being a powerful team, made some huge ones too. Katy won't make that many mistakes and will take advantage of every one by Manvel. The two-headed running back beast of Rodney Anderson and Kyle Porter will leave Manvel without answers. KATY TIGERS win it 50-35!!!

Mike Says: This is the game that Manvel has been looking forward to all year. They took on strong running teams like Spring Westfield and Galena Park North Shore in pre-district to get ready for a running game like Katy has. Last week Manvel gave up 488 yards of offense to Cypress Woods. They will need a better effort this week. The Mavericks are one of my favorite teams and will keep it close and exciting for the first half. Katy is too good though and they play these types of big games all the time. If you want to see Texas High School football at its best....go to this one. Katy will not win as easily as they did last year when the beat the Mavericks in the QuarterFinals 56-14 but they still win big. The TIGERS win it 48-20!!
