Now that we have reached the end of the season, lets look and see how our pre-season rankings match up to how they rank at the end of the regular season and how things actually happened.

Region I
Pre-Season Pick: Allen over DeSoto
End Of Regular Season Pick: Allen over Euless Trinity
Actual Finish: Allen over Euless Trinity
Notes: Allen won a tough region beating out Trinity.... they also beat DeSoto in the Area round
Region II
Pre-Season Pick: Dallas Skyline over The Woodlands
End Of Regular Season Pick: Dallas Skyline over The Woodlands
Actual Finish: Dallas Skyline over Klein Oak
Notes: We got Skyline right all season but Klein Oak came out of nowhere upsetting The Woodlands in Bi-District play
Region III
Pre-Season Pick: Galena Park North Shore over Pearland
End Of Regular Season Pick: Pearland over Galena Park North Shore
Actual Finish: Cypress Ranch over Dickinson
Notes: We were sure this was going to be a battle between Pearland and GPNS, but surprise performances by Dickinson and Cypress Ranch set the scene for a series of upsets. Cypress Ranch makes it all the way to the Championship game. This was the only region in both divisions that caught us off guard.
Region IV

Notes: Judson our pre-season pick beat O'Connor the End Of Regular Season Pick in the Area round

Notes: Just as we predicted

Notes: It was newcomer vs. oldtimer in this semifinal game

Notes: We never could figure out who Allen would beat but we were sure the Eagles would be there and would win it.

Actual Finish: Katy over Manvel
Notes: Just as we predicted in highly anticipated match-up
Region IV
Pre-Season Pick: Cibolo Steele over Northside Brennan
End Of Regular Season Pick: Northside Brennan over Northside Brandeis
Actual Finish: Cibolo Steele over Northside Brandeis
Notes: It was always between these three teams in Region IV and that is just how it ended up. Steele beat Brennan in the Area round and Brandeis for the Region.
