2014 Lone Star Gridiron
Class 4A Coach of the Year
Winner: Lee Fedora (Navasota)
Head Coach Lee Fedora, of the Navasota Rattlers, finished this season 16-0 and won the Class 4A Division I State Championship. He put together a solid team on both sides of the ball, but the offense got most of the attention - scoring more 34 or more points in every game of the year (including 9 games of more than 50 points.) The championship win was his second in the last three years. Fedora is the all-time winningest coach at Navasota. His tenure there spans 2005-2014 with a record of 97-29-0 including eight straight seasons with 9+ wins. Coach Fedora's all-time record is 155-54-1. Fedora won the Class 3A Lone Star Gridiron Coach of the Year for 2012 as well.

2. Todd Rodgers (Argyle)
Argyle Head Coach Todd Rodgers led his Eagles to a 15-1 record for the 2014 season and was the state runner-up in Class 4A Division I. Rodgers led the Eagles to four state championship games since 2005 and is the all-time winningest coach in Argyle's history with a record of 131-31-0.
3. Jeff Traylor (Gilmer)
Gilmer Head Coach Jeff Traylor led the Buckeyes to an undefeated 16-0 record,, winning the Class 4A Division II title. Taylor has led his team to five state championship games since 2005. The head coach is the all-time winningest coach in Gilmer's history with a record of 175-26-0. Traylor will no longer lead the Buckeyes, as he has moved on to become the tight ends and special teams coach at the University of Texas.
4. Cornel Thompson (West Orange-Stark)
West Orange-Stark Head Coach Cornel Thompson led the Mustangs to a record of 13-3. Thompson was the state runner-up in Class 4A Division II. His four year record at West Orange-Stark is 47-10 and he has the second all-time win record at the school.
