Scoring Trend Continues in Texas High School Football
The highest scoring regular season games record page is up to date. There were 28 games that made the list this year. This entire list is premium content and it list 223 games. The teams would have to combine for 90 points to make the list.
San Antonio Roosevelt and San Antonio Lee had the highest scoring game of the year. Roosevelt won 83-65 to give them a total of 148 points. That was good enough for 5th place all-time. It is the 2nd highest scoring non overtime game. New Deal beat Lamesa 89-70 for a total of 159 points in 2012.
A rival game has the top 2 spots in the list. Jacksonville and Nacogdoches have had high scoring games in 2010 and 2014. Jacksonville won them both. The 2nd highest scoring game of all time was their 2014 game where Jacksonville won 85-79 (164 total points) in 5 overtimes. In 2010, it took a record 12 overtimes for the game to be settled. Jacksonville own that one 84-81 (165 total points).
The oldest game on the list is 130 points when Menard beat Eden 82-48 in 1962.
