Dane Johnson became the new Head Coach at Saginaw after getting the approval of the school board on March 30. Johnson took over the reigns after Mike Peters left to become the head coach at Fort Stockton after leading Saginaw the past 6 seasons.
Johnson, a graduate of Southlake Carrol, played on two state championship teams under Bob Ledbetter. He also had success playing his college football at Texas Tech. Prior to landing this coaching job, Johnson was an assistant at Allen and Lewisville Hebron as well as head coach at Boerne and Flower Mound.
