Fan Feedback:
"Y'all should follow Victoria East a little closer. I feel they are a sleeper that too many people or overlooking. I really believe they will make a run in the playoffs. The new defensive coordinator is getting things fixed and the offense can't be stopped . There will be numerous kids on this roster that will play at the next level that people are sleeping on. Offense you got Zappe, McLeod, Wolf, Whitlow, on defense you got Moeller and Whitby that should play at next level... Just a thought."
LSG Response: The Titans of Victoria East ARE for real. They are 2-1 on the season with 3 exciting games. They started off on the wrong side with a double overtime loss to #53 6A Edinburg Vela 62-63. (And that was with their entire linebacking core out of the game)
The team's 124 total points puts them in a tie for 50th place all-time. All-Time Most Points Scored By Both Teams In A Regular Season Game (Premium Membership Required to see all 225 Games Listed). After that game, they took care of #59 Corpus Christi Flour Bluff 52-31 and #175 6A San Antonio East Central 30-23.
The Titans were #29 in the Pre-Season rankings. They are now just sitting outside the Top 20 at #21. COMPLETE CLASS 6A RANKINGS ($) PREMIUM - All 246 6A Teams!
In the 27-5A Pre-Season Preview, we have them 3rd behind Richmond Foster and Angleton. Foster is currently ranked #4 and Angleton #16. They of course will also be challenged by Victoria West who beat East 42-14 last year. Titans still lead the all-time series 4-2 vs. Victoria West in the Crossroads Clash (otherwise known as the Battle for the Sword.)

Both Quarterback Bailey Zappe and Tight End Chance McLeod made the Lone Star Gridiron Class 5A Pre-Season All-State Team. Zappe is currently #6 in the state for passing yards with career totals of 298 of 522 for 5,632 yards and 65 touchdowns.
