How Are The Winning Streaks Going?

Texas High School Football Win Streaks

We are going into the 4th week of the season and we already have a long winning streak that has come to an end and a couple good ones that are still going.  To see where they rank, let's dive into the the Record Books. (Lone Star Gridiron Record Book)

We will be looking at two types of records.

When the Canadian Wildcats lost to Bushland 35-38 in week 1, that snapped their 31 game winning streak. They went 15-0 in 2014 winning the 2A Division I Championship. They then repeated as champions last year while going 16-0. Their previous loss before the streak started was in the Quarterfinals in 2013 to Cisco. Their loss to Bushland also ended their regular season win streak at 27 games. They needed to get to 31 to make the list.

Winning streaks is one of the toughest of all the records to top.  When you think about ~1500 schools and over 100 years of history, that is a lot of opportunity for teams to put together lengthy streaks.

What do you have to say?
