Clear Springs Holds off Friendswood

Webster Challenger Columbia Stadium. One more big game and the Clear Springs Chargers will be undefeated district champions. On Friday night they took home field advantage heading into the playoffs beating the Friendswood Mustangs, 38-28.
In this shootout the two signal callers, Clear Springs quarterback Will McBride and Friendswood quarterback Tyler Page combined for 667 total yard. It was Will McBride who provided the nail in the coffin, scoring a big touchdown in the final minutes as the Chargers secured at least a share of the District 24-6A championship.
Clear Springs (8-1, 6-0 in district) faces Clear Lake (3-6, 2-4) to end the regular season while Friendswood (6-2, 4-2) will host Alvin (4-5, 2-4.)
