Video: Calallen Victories Reinstated

Updated: October 19, 2016
The UIL State Executive Committee met today and voted unanimously that the Corpus Christi Calallen Wildcats football team will not have to forfeit a pair of wins from earlier this season.
The games were forfeited against Carroll and King because an athlete did not have a Previous Athletic Participation Waiver on file.
Coach Phil Danaher and Calallen Superintendent Dr. Artie Almendarez were at the meeting to plead their case.
The reinstatement of the games doesn't affect district play but will have big implications for Coach Danaher who is now just 3 wins away from becoming the winningest coach in Texas high school football history which has been held by G. A. Moore with 426 victories.
