1982 3A - Refugio 22, Littlefield 21
1987 2A - Loerna 8, Refugio 7
2011 2A Division II -- Refugio 36, Cisco 25
2013 2A Division II -- Cisco 56, Refugio 36
2015 2A Division I -- Canadian 61, Refugio 20
Mike Says: Both of these teams were our pre-season and end of the regular season picks to be here. Refugio has been dominant this year recording 6 shutouts. Crawford stumbled in week 1 but only Mart in the Regionals gave them a close game after that. Its good to see Crawford back with their last championship game being in 2004. Refugio is too good though. The BOBCATS win their 3rd championship playing in their 8th all-time championship game 36-27!!
Chris Says: This is something Refugio has been waiting for since 2011 when they beat Cisco to take the championship ring. It was their 3rd title and since that time they have been back twice but lost to Cisco and Canadian. Crawford is solid but the Refugio Bobcat seniors (Jaylon Mascorro, Trace Mascorro, Kobie Herring and Austin Moya) making their 3rd state title game appearance will be the difference. The biggest difference between this year's team and previous Refugio squads will come on defense (I know, not something you expect from Refugio.) Coach Jason Herring's son (Kobie) is a four year starter and last years AP Class 2A Defensive Player of the Year and will again be the anchor of their best defensive team I've ever seen. Refugio gets the title by 14
Glen Says: The boys from Refugio don't have to face Canadian and Tanner Schaefer from last year. Jaylon Mascorro and his brother ride out of AT&T with their trophy held high. Refugio by 15 points.
Terry Says: Crawford wins
Grant Says: Refugio wins by 10-14
