2016 Saw 25 Performances Added to Single-Game Completion Record
There were 25 additions to the Texas High School Football Record Book for passing completions in a single game in 2016. Lone Star Gridiron to be "leader in Texas high school football history and records." That list now boast lists 207 players. To make the list now, a player will have to complete an amazing 33 passes.
Bells's quarterback Bryan Ponder topped the 2016 additions with his 46 completions against Celeste. That was good enough to tie for 5th place all-time. It was one of two times Ponder was added to the list in 2016 and beat his brother Derrick Ponder's best game by 1 completion. Derrick has five performances that made the list, but none better than younger brother Bryan's 46.
