Tomball Welcomes Coach Flanigan's Winning Ways
Former Beaumont West Brook head coach Kevin Flanigan will be taking over for the Tomball Cougars. The Cougars haven't had a winning seasons since 2010 - their only one in 13 years. Last season's 2-8 record was the 6th time during that span they won 2 or less. Over the past 20 seasons, Coach Flanigan's teams have only won that few 1 time.
Coach Flanigan went 32-23 during his 5 years at Beaumont West Brook. In his time at the helm, the Bruins improved greatly as Flanigan led them to their first playoff win in six seasons. In 2015, they finished 11-2 and reached the third round of the playoffs for the first time in seven seasons. He has also been Head Coach at Crosby (51-38-0), Orangefield (23-20-0) and Troup (20-15-0.) Flanigan has an All-Time Coaching Record of 126-96-0 and is currently tied for 328th place on the all-time coaching wins list.
Former Tomball Coach, Danny Ramsey had been the Cougars head coach for the past 5 years and has gone 19-33 during that time. Coach Ramsey has also been the head coach at Waco where he went 14-19 over 3 years.
