Jared Sanderson to Lead Rangers
Midland Greenwood has hired Jared Sanderson to be their next head coach. Sanderson comes over from Levelland where he led the Lobos to a 27-21 record over the past 4 seasons. Prior to his taking over at Levelland, that team had gone sixteen seasons without a winning record. Last season's 1o wins was the most for Levelland since 1947. Coach Sanderson replaces Shad Hanna who had been the Rangers head coach for the past 7 seasons going 40-36.
The Midland Greenwood Rangers have had winning seasons for the past two years, going 13-8 overall in that time. They have been playing varsity football since 1980 and played in the 2002 Class 3A Division II Championship game where they lost to Bandera 24-27 in double overtime.
Expect the Rangers passing offense to continue to thrive under their new head coach. Sanderson guided Levelland quarterback Nick Gerber enroute to a lot of passing records last year at the helm of the Lobos.
