Raffield Leaves A&M Consolidated For New Cypress Bridgeland

Head Coach David Raffield retired from his position at A&M Consolidated and took over the new Head Coach job at Cypress Bridgeland. In addition, he will be the campus Athletic Coordinator. Coach Raffield had a 46-26-0 during his 6 seasons with A&M Consolidated and took the Tigers to the playoffs every year.
Cypress Bridgeland is a brand new school in the Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District. It is the 12th school in the mega-district. They will open in the 2017-2018 school year. The campus will compete in varsity athletics starting in 2018-2019.
Coach Raffield is no stranger to opening up a new football program at a new school. He was an assistant coach at the brand new Cypress Falls campus when it opened before taking over as Head Coach. As HC for 8 seasons, his teams went 56-39-0. During that time, the Eagles appeared in one State Championship Final game (2006) as well as two Regional Finals (2004 & 2005. )
Prior to his run at CFISD, Raffield was an assistant at Alief, Pearland and South Houston.
He has an all-time coaching record of 102-65-0 which puts him in a tie for 449th place on the all-time coaching wins list.
