2016 Saw 8 Performances Added to Single Game Touchdowns Record

Lone Star Gridiron

Lone Star Gridiron continues to be the gold standard for news and historical information about Texas high school football.  The record books continue to grow each year and 2016 saw many players carve their name into those history books.

There were eight (8) additions to the Texas High School Football Record Book for touchdowns in a single game in 2016. That list now boast lists 105 players. To make the list now, a player will have to score an amazing 7 touchdowns. This is a record for touchdowns scored and not touchdown passes thrown.

Freer's Librado Carrillo topped the 2016 additions with his 10 touchdowns against Three Rivers. That was good enough to tie for 2nd place all-time.  Jiggs Ray of Pilot Point is still at the top of the list with 11 touchdowns scored in 1937.
