18 Single Game Passing Performances Added to Record Book
Lone Star Gridiron continues to be the gold standard for news and historical information about Texas high school football. The record books grow each year and 2016 saw many players carve their name into those history books.
There were eighteen (18) additions to the Texas High School Football Record Book for passing attempts in a single game in 2016. That list now shows 209 players. To make that list now, a player will have to throw an amazing 53 passes.
Austin Reagan's Alvin Harper, Cypress Creek's Mateo Renteria, and Pampa's Brandon Steward all topped the 2016 additions with 63 passes attempted. That put them in a tie for 26th place all-time. Johnny Manziel of Kerrville Tivy is the all time leader with 75 attempts back in 2010.
