Lots of Questions but Great Outlook for Panthers
Of all the story lines scattered throughout Wednesday's Colleyville Heritage Spring Game, the most eye brows are raised at two in particular:
- The heated competition at quarterback following Cam Roane's departure.
- The much-anticipated return of star receiver Ke'Von Ahmad.
A 10-4 record and a quarterfinals appearance in Head Coach Joe Willis' second year at the helm broke Colleyville Heritage school records, albeit after moving down to 5A classification. Whether the Panthers take a step forward or back in 2017 depends on how these burning questions are addressed.
Of junior quarterbacks Jagger LaRoe and Landry French, can either fill the void left by former offensive cog, now San Diego State Aztec Cam Roane? And can Ke'von Ahmad return to his old self or are injuries sure to nag Colleyville's top wideout yet again in his senior campaign?
Watch as I dig for answers on the field and in the facilities following Colleyville Heritage's spring game.
