2017 Week 4 Highlights, Milestones and Rivalry Games

Texas High School Football Week 4, 2017

Another week of the 2017 Texas high school football season is complete. Once again we had a ton of interesting tidbits :

    • Smithson Valley 50, Round Rock 10 -- Smithson Valley Head Coach Larry Hill earned his 250th career win.  Hill is 250-78 overall in 27 seasons, including 240-67 in 25 years at Smithson Valley.
    • Amarillo Tascosa 27, Amarillo 20 -- Amarillo Tascosa is now 18-40-3 all-time vs. Amarillo
    • Austin Lake Travis 48, Pflugerville Hendrickson 0 -- Austin Lake Travis improved to 10-0 since 2004 in this series and have won them by a combined score of 466-129
    • North Mesquite 39, Mesquite 24 -- North Mesquite is now 21-26-1 all-time in this series. North Mesquite also won theiir 300th all-time game
    • Abilene 31, Odessa 21 -- Abilene improved to 42-35-0 all-time in this series
    • Katy 30, Katy Cinco Ranch 0 -- Katy improved to 17-1 all-time in this series
    • Rockwall 48, Tyler 7 -- Rockwall played in their 1,000 all-time game
    • Dallas Samuell 29, Dallas Adams 22 -- Dallas Samuell won their 400th All-Time game
    • Tomball 20, Richmond Foster 10 -- Tomball New Head Coach Kevin Flanigan has now coached in 225 all-time games
    • El Campo 50, Wharton 7 -- El Campo is now 71-23-4 all-time in this series
    • Cuero 60, Gonzales 21 -- Cuero improved to 42-36-1 all-time in this series
    • Madisonville 59, Crockett 21 -- Madisonville is now 20-43-4 all-time in this series
    • Sealy 42, Bellville 17 -- Sealy improved to 31-47-0 all-time in this series
    • Sweetwater 45, Snyder 7 -- Sweetwater improved to 39-25-1 all-time in this series
    • Wimberley 20, Fischer Canyon Lake 13 -- Wimberley is now 8-2 all-time in this series since the Canyon Lake began varsity play in 2008
    • Paris 38, Pittsburg 20 -- Paris won their 525th all-time game
    • Canadian 40, Stratford 7 -- Canadian is now 13-5 in this series since 1996....Canadian also earned their 575th All-Time Win
    • Garrison 50, Alto 36 -- Garrison improved to 6-8 in this series since 1994
    • Gunter 43, Pilot Point 11 -- Gunter earned their 350th all-time win
    • Refugio 28, Edna 21 -- Refugio earned their 700th All-Time Wins
    • Frisco Liberty 55, South Garland 20 -- Frisco Liberty Head Coach Chris Burtch won his 100th all-time game
    • Canyon 35, Big Spring 7 -- Canyon won their 525th All-Time game
    • Spring DeKaney 13, Klein Oak 7 -- Spring DeKaney won their 50th All-Time game
    • Campbell 125, Fannindel 122 -- They scored 247 points and the game was ended early. It is the most points ever scored in a Sixman football game.
