Unicorns Outlast Rattlers 54-42

The San Marcos Rattlers lost to the New Braunfels Unicorns Friday night in a shoot out 54-42. The Rattlers had the lead for most of the night but the Unicorns fought hard and ended up with a victory. The Rattlers had some big performances through Senior Quarterback Prudy Calderon who ran for 202 yards and tacked on another 197 through the air. Junior running back Jamon Johnson put in a great effort with 127 rushing yards and another 91 yards receiving.
The Rattlers will play San Antonio Taft High School next Saturday night at 7 pm. The Unicorns next face the #1 ranked Converse Judson Rockets at home, Friday at 7:30 pm.
