How is 13-6A doing after 6 weeks?
Let’s take a look…

- #108 Round Rock Stony Point (4-2) (2-0) *5-1
- #83 Pfugerville Hendrickson (3-3) (1-1)
- #128 Pflugerville (2-4) (1-1)
- #120 Round Rock Westwood (2-3) (0-1)
- #93 Round Rock (0-5) (0-1)
- #203 Round Rock McNeil (1-5) (0-2)
Notes:
Coming into the year, Round Rock and Cedar Ridge were viewed as powers in the state of Texas, with both being viewed as the top teams in District 13-6A. While Cedar Ridge has held true, with their only loss, early in the year against fifth ranked Waco Midway (6-0), Round Rock has failed to live up to the expectations and Round Rock Stony Point has instead stepped up into the second spot. Stony Point has reestablished themselves this year behind a dynamite offense (averaging 490 YPG and 43 PPG), with a strong defense backing them. With Cedar Ridge and Stony Point matching up this week, a win will likely determine the district winner. Both teams matchup well against other remaining opponents, and are currently my picks to finish first and second. The rest of the district is a coin toss essentially, as the district has been a very top heavy thus far. Cedar Ridge will likely hold the top spot come seasons end. Of the remaining teams, only Hendrickson has more than 2 wins, and is most likely to qualify for playoffs. Of the remaining 4, Round Rock Westwood is most likely to scoop the final playoff spot, as Pflugerville and McNeil have struggled with inconsistent play, and Round Rock has been torn apart by injuries at multiple skill positions early. Bi-district matchups against District 14-6A teams come playoffs, don’t look favorable as San Marcos, Del Valle, Bowie and Manor all sit above .500 with at least 3 wins. 2 teams advancing past the bi-district round for 13-6A will be the likely result.
