Stat Leaders Week 7 2017

At Lone Star Gridiron, we keep more stats than any other source when it comes to Texas high school football. Most of those are reserved for Premium Subscribers but periodically, we post info for all to see. Here are a few updates:

Bells Bryan Ponder took the lead back for passing yards. Not only that but he threw for a state record 11 touchdowns. He now has 2,629 yards for the season. Ten (10) players have now thrown for over 2,000 yards. A player would need to throw for 1,662 yards to make this list of 29 players.
El Paso Parkland's Deion Hankins holds a 12 yard lead over 2nd place Alex Julian of Austin McCallum. Hankins now has 1,516 yards on the season. Eleven (11) players are now over 1,200 yards. A player would need to run for 1,002 yards to make the list of 28 players.
Hunter Hawthorne of Bells retook the receiving lead. He now has 1,161 yards on the season. Nine (9) players were over 800 yards. A player would need to catch for 624 yards to make the list of 28 players.
