Three 6-0 Teams After 7 Weeks
There are three undefeated teams left in District 27-6A after 7 weeks. Converse Judson, Schertz Clemens and Smithson Valley all have perfect 6-0 records after 7 weeks. What is weird is that they have all already played three district games and have somehow avoided playing each other.
That comes to an end this week though as Schertz Clemens travels to Smithson Valley.
This is a very tough district as we have not even mentioned Cibolo Steele (2-4)(1-2) and New Braunfels (4-2)(1-2). Judson is ranked #1 in the state followed by #7 Smithson Valley, #26 Cibolo Steele, #31 Schertz Clemens, #70 New Braunfels, #169 San Antonio Wagner, #181 New Braunfels Canyon and #203 San Antonio East Central. Going with the rankings, New Braunfels would be the pretty good team not playing in the playoffs. It will be an uphill battle for the Unicorns as they lost to Steele 26-3 last week. A key game for that 4th playoff spot will probably be between Schertz Clemens and New Braunfels.
Week 10 will be the game everyone is waiting on when Smithson Valley travels to play Converse Judson which will probably be for the district crown.
