"Out in the West Texas Town of El Paso..."
The city of El Paso is set for a showdown of epic proportions. LSG's Class 6A #68 ranked El Paso Montwood Rams will be the visiting teams against our #79 ranked El Paso Pebble Hills Spartans Friday night 7:00pm at the SISD Student Activities Complex (SAC.)
The two teams are deadlocked at the top of the District 1-6A (5-0) and both are undefeated on the season (8-0.)
School Name | *W-L | *Pct. | *PF | *PA | W-L | Pct. | PF | PA | Strk |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Pebble Hills | 5-0 | 1.000 | 233 | 105 | 8-0 | 1.000 | 353 | 139 | 8 W |
Montwood | 5-0 | 1.000 | 252 | 145 | 8-0 | 1.000 | 427 | 238 | 8 W |
Folks around the state have been predicting a Montwood victory not only in this game but for the district crown since before the season started. Pebble Hills however, has made a lot of people rethink that conclusion. After their first varsity season last year ending 2-8, the Spartan's 8-0 record against many teams predicted ahead of them, they are ready to silence all the critics.
When it was put to the twitterverse, fans online seemed ready for a changing of the guard and predict Pebble Hills to come away with the win:
