Mikes Says : Austin Westlake makes it to the top of our list again this year.  They are looking to win their 2nd ever state championship in their 9th try as the top team in Division II. Division I will be fun. We might finally get our dream matchup of Katy vs. Allen.   We did get to play the 2007 Katy vs. the 2008 Allen with our new board game (Friday Night Legends).  How did it turn out -- check it out!!

Chris Says : If you know Texas high school football, you know that any of the Top 20 or so teams have a great shot at appearing in a title game. That means that even though you see a team like Austin Lake Travis listed as #4, they could be sitting on top of the pile come December.  Even a squad like Euless Trinity, who hasn't made much state noise in a few years, is likely to be rejuvenated by the new district foes... will that travel schedule be too much to handle though? Does Spring Westfield break out of the "always promising" category and join the state champions? Does all the graduation across so many top programs mean it is time for the changing of the guard? How much of these rankings are on program tradition and how much are based on 2018 athletes? We are about to find out!
