Midland Lee 24, Smithson Valley 23
Lee made it to the third round of the playoffs for the first time in 16 years last year and were looking to build on that success. The Rebels traveled more than 300 miles to take on #10 Smithson Valley. The score was all tied up in a what was a defensive struggle 3-3 after 3rd quarters. The teams then combined for 41 points in the 4th quarter. Smithson Valley scored a touchdown with 1:33 left in the game but missed the XP that would have tied the score.
Aledo 40, Denton Guyer 0
Top ranked in 5A DII Aledo took on Top 20 6A Denton Guyer and handed them their first shutout since 2006. Guyer was shut out in their very first varsity game in 2006 and have since gone 158 games without getting shutout. The 158 games puts them in 35th place all-time. Aledo is in 24th place having scored in 187 straight games dating back to 2004.

Argyle 45, Stephenville 35
Argyle got a little revenge over the Yellow Jackets after Stephenville beat them 31-28 last year in the Regional Playoffs.
Gilmer 47, Atlanta 41
Gilmer led 47-28 before Atlanta came back late in the game.
Pleasanton WR Dalton Hobbs had 279 yards receiving during their 42-15 win over San Antonio Edison. That puts him in a tie for 79th place all-time.

Wolfforth Frenship QB Austin Phillips threw for 583 yards during their 41-48 loss to Amarillo. That puts him in a tie for 18th place all-time

Galena Park North Shore 35, Katy 21
In a battle of Houston area Top 10 teams, Galena Park North Shore beat Katy. Katy knocked North Shore out of the playoffs last year in the Regionals 31-3.
Fort Worth Diamond Hill-Jarvis snapped a 77 game losing streak with a 40-12 win over Dallas Conrad. This was the 2nd longest drought in Texas history.
Waxahachie 54, Ennis 32
Waxahachie wins the 97th game between these two and are now 48-47-2 all-time vs. Ennis in the "Battle of 287". This game featured 699 yards rushing between the two teams.
Longview 35, Lufkin 28
Longview scored twice in the last 3 ½ minutes of the game win this longtime rivalry game. Longview now leads the all-time series 41-36-4; 6-4 playoffs vs. Lufkin. Longview defeated Lufkin in the playoffs last year 33-32.
Waco 29, Waco University 22
Waco won a close one against their rival Waco University. They are now 18-1 vs. University since 1998. The Trojans from Waco University have now dropped their 47th straight game, They now hold the state’s longest active losing streak
Klein Forest 58, Aldine MacArthur 45
Klein Forest won a wild one against MacArthur. This was Klein Forest’s 400th All-Time game played.
San Antonio Churchill 28, Northside Clark 21
Churchill scored a touchdown with 17 seconds left to win this years Gucci Bowl. They have now won 9 consecutive over the Cougars from Clark. Churchill now lead the series 21-15-2 and 2-1 in the playoffs all-time vs.Clark.
Austin McCallum 21, Austin Anderson 20
McCallum came from 13 points down to beat Anderson in this years "Taco Shack Bowl". McCallum now holds a 9-8 lead in the series.
Dallas South Oak Cliff 10, Dallas Skyline 7
South Oak Cliff played in their 700th all time game during their 10-7 win over Skyline
Denison 41, Sherman 16
Denison won the 120th playing of the "Battle of the Axe". The states Longest running rivalry. Denison has now won 6 in a row in this series. Sherman still leads series 70-42-8 Their first game was played in 1906. Since 1912, there have only been five years in which the game was not played, three of which were during World War I. 1949 was the first year in which the Axe was awarded to the winner of the game. This was also Denison Head Coach Chad Rogers 200th all-time game.

Beeville's Head Coach Jerry Bomar won his 250th career game and Beeville also played in their 1,000th All-Time game

Dumas took the all-time series lead and now have a 40-39-1 all-time record against Perryton.

Seminole won their 450th All-Time game against the much larger school Lubbock.

Nederland upset the Mustangs from West Orange-Stark. This was only their 8th win in 35 games against

Bells got the win giving their Head Coach Scott Ponder his 125th all-time win.

Canadian’s Head Coach Chris Koetting won his 100th game @ Canadian & all-time.

Galveston Bal won the 58th playing of the "Clash Of The Causeway". La Marque still holds the all-time series lead 34-23-1.
Hamlin 42, Anson 12
Hamlin improved to 40-49-3 all-time vs.Anson.
Mart 67, Bosqueville 12
Mart had 599 yards of total offense as they started the season with an impressive victory over a very good Bosqueville team. This game marked Marts 750th All-Time win.

McCamey earned their 500th all-time win.
