Championship History : First Championship Game
Mike Says: Alvin Shadow Creek will be playing in their first championship game in only their first varsity season. Dallas Highland Park is playing in their 9th State Championship game. They are the back to back State Champions and have 831 all-time wins. The most in Texas history. I will root for the underdog Shadow Creek but Highland Park wins #3 in a row 30-24.
Chris Says: How many times do I have to say, "this is a tough one?" This one is tough though for different reasons than other games. It isn't because we have seen so much of each team and think they are a good match. In fact, we have seen very little of Alvin Shadow Creek because this is their first ever varsity season. Yeah - and playing for a state title. How cool is that? Highland Park we have seen forever and know to expect greatness. While I would love the story if Shadow Creek pulls it off, I have to go with history and DHP has it. The Scots take their third straight title.
