Georgetown East View Gets History Making Coach

Georgetown East View is adding a history making Head Coach to the Patriots. Jerod Fikac is taking over for Robert Davies who is taking a new position at the district Athletic Department. With the program launching varsity football in 2012, he had been the only coach in the Patriots history During his tenure, they went 35-39-0. Their 6-5 record last year ended a 3 year losing streak.
Coach Fikac comes over from San Saba. He went 17-8 during his 2 seasons there. The Armadillos from San Saba have been playing varsity ball since 1919. Last year, they made it to the Semifinals for the first time in program history. The Armadillos won their first outright district championship in 27 years and finished the regular season 10-0.
