Anthony Renfro to take over at La Porte

La Porte Head Coach Jeff LaReau is retiring. He is leaving the Bulldogs after leading them for the past 14 years. He will be replaced by Anthony Renfro who will be taking over as a Head Coach for the first time.
LaReau went 103-61-0 during his 14 yeas with the Bulldogs. The 103 wins puts him in a tie for 489th place for all-time coaching wins.
Renfro was an Assistant Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator at Clear Springs. He was also a Defensive Coordinator at San Antonio East Central and an assistant at Seguin. He played College football at
Hardin Simmons University.
The Bulldogs are currently on a 2 year losing streak going 6-14. Before that, they only had 1 losing season in 9 years.
