The Austin Lake Travis Cavaliers had another great season last year making it to the Semifinals before losing to eventual champion Galena Park North Shore. The Cavaliers now have 16 consecutive winning seasons. They were all 8+ wins seasons. Before that no 8 + win seasons in the 20 years since the school opened in 1984.

2011 Austin Lake Travis The Cavaliers won their 5th consecutive state championship in 2011. They were led by Heisman winner Baker Mayfield who was in his Junior season. Other than 2 close games against Cedar Park, their closest game was the 15 point win the championship game against Waco Hewitt Midway.
2017 Austin Lake Travis The Cavaliers played in their 8th championship game since 2007. They narrowly missed winning their 7th title as they lost to Allen 33-35 even though the Cavs lost their star starting quarterback on the first play of the title. game.
