All State Championship Games Again on FOX Sport Southwest

IRVING, TX - FOX Sports Southwest announced its coverage plans for the 2019 UIL Texas High School Football State Championships from AT&T Stadium in Arlington. The network’s exclusive live game schedule will begin Wednesday, Dec. 18, and feature 12 championship matchups over the course of four days, including two Six-Man contests and concluding with the 6A Division II title game on Saturday, Dec. 21.

In addition to FOX Sports Southwest’s live game coverage, the network will debut Road to the Championship Preview Show, providing in-depth analysis for each of the 12 title games and supply Ford Championship Live shows between games, plus High School Scoreboard Live immediately after the final game.

Replays of the previous UIL Texas high school championships will be shown on FOX Sports Southwest leading into Wednesday’s live game coverage, allowing fans to relive classic games from years past.

All of FOX Sports’ UIL football coverage will also be available on FOX Sports GO (FOXSportsGO.com), a free app that provides live streaming video of FOX Sports content through programming distributors. FOX Sports GO is currently available on mobile and tablet devices, including iOS and Android as well as FoxSportsGo.com. FOX Sports GO is also available on connected devices including, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, Roku Players and Roku TV, and Xbox One. In some markets, FOX Sports Southwest Plus will deliver the 3A Division I game at 3:00 p.m. and the 3A Division II game at 7:00 p.m. on December 19 and 4A Division II game at 3:00 p.m. and the 5A Division I game at 7:00 p.m. on December 20 will be carried on FOX Sports Southwest Plus due to overlap with NHL broadcasts on FOX Sports Southwest.

From the broadcast booth, Ted Emrich, Mark Followill and Craig Way will split play-by-play duties. They’ll be joined by statewide six-man guru Granger Huntress, former Port Arthur Jefferson High School and Texas A&M wide receiver Shea Walker and former Crowley High School and New York Giants linebacker Gary Reasons who will rotate as analysts.

Sarah Merrifield, Katie Engleson, Lauren Blackwell, Jason Spells and CT Steckel will serve as sideline reporters.

Ford Championship Live shows hosted by Ric Renner and Erin Hartigan will be televised between games and will include analysis from Texas High School football coaching legend Ken Purcell and Texas Football Managing Editor Greg Tepper.
