Our Top Texas Prospects of The Week are from Grand Prairie High School, in the DFW Texas area. We talk to Savion Red C/O 2022 Wide Receiver and Linebacker Christian Cross C/O 2022.
Matt asks Christian about the adjustment of playing for a new coaching staff 2 yrs ago. Cross tells Matt about playing in the 3-4 defense as an inside linebacker and making a shift to outside linebacker heading into 2020. Christian explains to Matt how moving up to the varsity level has helped his game and the adjustments he made.
Marc talks with Christian about keys he looks for while playing the linebacker postion. Cross tells Marc how he has been able to make reads from his position in the passing game. During the 2019 season, Christian took an interception for a touchdown and explains how that play developed.
Matt brings in Savion Red, a wide receiver at Grand Prairie who is also a standout on the basketball court. Savion tells Matt how he has been working on his game this spring to get bigger and faster. Savion pocketed his first college offer from SMU and he tells Matt how excited he was when he received it.
Marc steps in next with Savion and he talks about being physical at the point of attack. Savion explains that he models his game after Julio Jones of the Atlanta Falcons.
