The Austin LBJ Jaguars may feature one of the state's best defensive secondary. Andrew Mukuba and Latrell McCutchin are the stars of this secondary. They also play key roles on the offensive side and in special teams.
Mukuba is 6'0" 185 pounds and is projected to play safety. Last year, he had 50 tackles, 3 interceptions and 4 return touchdowns. He also had 1,200 yards receiving along with 15 touchdowns. Every college wants him to play for them. He has not made a commitment yet but is looking at schools like Texas, LSU and Clemson.
McCutchin is 6'1" 176 pounds and is projected to play cornerback. He missed last year with a torn ACL. He was named the Districts Offensive Newcomer Of The Year as a Sophomore. He is committed to Oklahoma.
LBJ has high expectations this year. They are usually ranked in the Top 25 or so but this year, they drop from Class 5A Division I to Class 4A Division I. This drop in classification will make them a very tough out come playoff time.
