Marc Henry gives you all the scoop - everything you need to know about Houston area high school football.

Season 3 Episode 1

Third Coast Gridiron is back for the 2022 season. We start out on the first episode with a Houston Round Up of several schools around the greater Houston. These schools are on the cusp of doing great things and host Marc Henry had a chance to check out some of top hidden gems in Houston.

Marc’s first stop was at Randle High School where Coach Brian Randle is the leader of the Lions. This will be the Lions first year of varsity football. Coach Randle talks about his expectations for the team and how he and his coaching staff engage with the team.

Marc makes his way to St. Thomas High School to watch practice and talks with Class of 2024 quarterback Blaize Covington. Covington is a six foot four quarterback with a strong arm, the ability to navigate the pocket well and can make the big throws down field.

Marc’s last stop was at his alma mater Booker T Washington High School to atttend the Eagles scrimmage and media day. Coach Chatham is putting his stamp on the Eagles program and they look to Fly High in 2022. Marc talks with several of the Eagles players who look to make an impact on 2022. Coach Chatham explains that he is bringing back the Eagle tradition when Washington was one of the top schools in Houston and perennial playoff team. Look for Washington to bring back the winning tradition.
