Waco University High School has announced Kaeron Johnson as its new head football coach and athletic coordinator, according to Waco Independent School District Athletic Director Ed Love. Johnson, who played football for Baylor University, is leaving his role as the assistant head football coach and defensive coordinator at Waco Midway High School. He helped the Bears win Alamo Bowl and Holiday Bowl Championships during his time at Baylor. Love praised Johnson's defensive background and experience, as well as his commitment to developing a strong defense. Johnson is also an experienced teacher who has taught special education and physical education for 11 years.
