The Beginnings of a Family Feud?
This week’s Texas high school football playoffs bring us a unique and thrilling Class 4A DI matchup, dubbed the “Bro Bowl.” On one side, we have Charlie Reeve’s Calallen Wildcats, and on the other, his brother Travis Reeve’s El Campo Ricebirds. These two coaching siblings, both celebrated for their successful records and unwavering dedication to Texas football, will face off on opposing sidelines for the first time in postseason play, turning the field into a battleground not only for playoff advancement but for family bragging rights.
Coaching is in their blood as their father, Mark Reeve was a long-time coach at Victoria, Plano East and Cuero. He compiled a record of 183-37-4. He also coached at Texas Lutheran College.

The game will be played at Sandcrab Stadium in Port Lavaca, Friday at 7:30p.
The Reeve brothers have made names for themselves in Texas high school football, each with their own distinct coaching style and commitment to building powerhouse programs. Both teams have enjoyed successful seasons, earning their way to the playoff showdown. Now, with everything on the line, Charlie and Travis find themselves in the unusual position of coaching against each other, each striving to lead their team to victory. It is also a unique situation as both brothers has a coaches show on Lone Star Gridiron where they discuss their team's performance each week with Chris Doelle.
The stakes are high as we have reached the "win or go home" time of the season, and so is the intensity of this sibling rivalry. Fans can expect nothing less than a fierce battle, with both teams bringing everything they’ve got. As much as family ties may bind the Reeve brothers, each is driven to prove their team's strength on the field.
