The 2023 Seminole fans felt cheated out of an appearance in the CFP after finishing the regular season undefeated. Their consolation was a Rose Bowl game against a Georgia team that also felt slighted. Georgia soundly defeated Florida State 63-3 as many of the Florida State starters opted out or left for the transfer portal before the bowl game.
