-
Updated: April 26, 2010
Jacksboro has hired Tommy Allison as their next athletic director and head coach. Allison will replace Brandon Brown who had coached to Tigers to a 15-17 record over the last three seasons. Brown will be taking over as Head Coach at Clifton.
Coach Alliston is leaving Cayuga where he has led the Wildcats to a 35-8 over three years. He has led Cayuga to the Class 1A Division II State Championship in 2009, and a state championship Runner Up in 2008. Before coming to Cayuga, Allison spent the previous five seasons as Palestines offensive coordinator. He coached Traylon Shead (#2 all-time rusher) during his time at Cayuga and called plays during his first year with Palestine when Adrian Peterson was a senior.
Jacksboro has made the playoffs nine times in the past eleven years but they have not won a playoff game since 2003. They will be a member of District 3-2A Division II along with Alvord, Henrietta, Holliday, Nocona and Wichita Falls City View. The most wins in a season over the last 6 years is 6 wins (2004 & 2008).
