Coaching Changes — Bremond

Jerry "Slugger" Hamrick has retired at Bremond after being the head coach for the last thirteen years. Bruce Brignac who was the defensive coordinator at Mart has been selected to be their next Athletic Director and Head Coach to replace him.
Hamrick led the Tigers to a 103-47 record while he was there and took them to the Class 1A Division II state final in 2007. He leaves as the all-time winningest coache at Bremond.
Brignac has been on the Mart staff since 2006. He was also an assistant at Marlin High School. This will be his first head coaching job.
The Tigers will be a member of District 10-1A Division II along with Chilton, Dawson, Frost, Hubbard and Wortham. Bremond finished 2009 with a 3-7 record which ended a streak of 2 consecutive 11+ win seasons (8 game drop).
