The research department of Lone Star Gridiron has poured over a decade of information to come up with the definitive Team of the Decade (2001-2010). The only criteria was that the team have to had played in an championship game during the last decade.

Here are the official – Lone Star Gridiron Team Of The Decade Rankings!!

Now, we know these rankings will not be without controversy, so let’s hear what you think.

Notes:
Southlake Carroll took over the #1 spot while Katy falls to #2.  Katy dropped their 2000 championship from their numbers.  The biggest jump was by Carthage who was able to drop their 1-9 record in 2000 for a state championship last year.  Other big movers were Austin Lake Travis (+22), Goldthwaite (+26) and Gainesville (+24).  Newcomers Falls City, Pearland, Cayuga and Idalou all made the top 50.  The big drops were by Smithson Valley (-26) and Corpus Christi Calallen (-22).  Corrigan-Camden (#53), Austin Westlake (#56), Spring Westfield (#57), Copperas Cove (#62), Dayton (#69), Marlin (#70), La Grange (#71) and Sinton (#80) all fell out of the Top 50.
